Outshine Counselling
In my role in Outshine Counselling, I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve personal growth. I am an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and have been working as a professional counsellor since 2004, seeing clients from all walks of life. I am committed to providing personalized care and finding solutions that work for each unique individual and situation.
A number of influences have led me to become a counsellor and have strongly equipped me in my work. These influences include a lifelong interest in personal growth and learning that our life challenges are key to our self-development and self-empowerment. Support through these challenging times is important.
Part of my preparedness to offer counselling was my participation in many hours of personal psychotherapy, supervision and professional development. I also have a meditation practice of over 20 years and have taught meditation and breath therapy since 2004.

Mission
I strongly feel that every one of us can be supported to outgrow and outshine our patterns of struggle. Regardless of how challenging our issues are and how challenging the times may be, we can radically change our experience of life.
Permanent positive change is the usual outcome of good therapy, through the combined effect of -
-
Receiving professional support and encouragement that is free of judgment;
-
Being seen and championed for our strengths. Being seen, accepted and understood for our limits - we all experience struggle.
-
Entering into a genuine therapeutic relationship with a trained psychotherapist;
-
And healing one's underlying emotional patterns.
My mission is to contribute to a world where we more and more take time to slow down, listen deeply to ourselves, to our bodies and our hearts, and invest profoundly in our mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
(With thanks to Marg Ryan, Melbourne psychotherapist,
I couldn't agree more with you, and you've helped me to find my own words!)
